Fishing
In May, the fishing season starts in St. Valentin auf der Haide at the Haidersee and at the Reschensee. Then the fish are biting fast.
This, of course, will please the angler. Here you can fish pike, perch, trout and whitefish which is considered to be one of the largest in the Alps. For fishing on the Haidersee, you need a fishing license type B or D and a license issued for the lake and for the day. These are available at the boathouse at the “Fischerhaüser, or in the Gasthof Alpenrose and in the bakery Angerer in the village center of St. Valentin auf der Haide.
